Junior Golf Program

SCGA Junior now offers a junior golf instructional program at Pico Rivera GC, River Ridge GC and Norwalk GC. Juniors have the opportunity to learn golf and decision-making through a program designed in conjunction with Up2Us, a nationally recognized sports-based youth development organization. Program participants will be able to add the SCGA Junior Club membership for a discounted rate.

Golf Pass

The Golf Pass program creates affordable access to golf for youth by establishing $1-$5 green and range fees at local golf facilities during off-peak hours. Participants get certified for the Golf Pass upon successful completion of a series of online quizzes that include golf rules, etiquette and decision making.

NOTE: The Golf Pass is good for one bucket of balls and one round of golf per day, please refer to the participating facilities page for rates and times offered at your local facility.

Who: Junior golfers in Southern California under the age of 18
*Juniors 18 years old and still in high school are eligible to apply

Cost: $50 per member, $25 for each additional family member at same address

Annual memberships includes:

  • Calendar year SCGA membership
  • Opportunities to sign up for Club tournaments
  • Invitations to special golf outings and educational events
  • Eligibility for college scholarships
  • Access to $1-$5 green and range fees at more than 155 Southland Facilities (upon completion of online certification)

Club Outings

SCGA Junior hosts Club Outings every month for just $5-$20. These outings range from golf clinics, a casual 9-hole round, to semi-competitive team tournaments, and more! Club outings are a great way to play with and meet fellow SCGA Junior Club members while experiencing different courses throughout Southern California.

College Golf Summits

Are you interested in playing college golf? The Southern California College Golf Summits are your chance to learn all you need to know to begin preparing for college golf. Hear from leading experts on the recruiting process, academic rigors, what coaches are seeking and what you should be doing to plan. Speakers will include current/former coaches, past players, parents and more.

Scholarships

The Scholarship Program is designed to help active SCGA Junior participants continue their life-long learning experience by providing financial assistance for higher education. Potential Scholars can apply during their senior year of high school.
