Meet the Juniors

Alyaa Abdulghany, Newport Beach, 15:
Sophomore at Corona Del Mar High School. Golf highlights include being inducted into the FCG Golf Hall of Fame, four wins in 2014 including the CIF Southern Section Individual Championship and being a 2014 Champions Junior Challenge participant.

Baylee Barckley, Lake Elsinore, 17:
Senior at Temescal Canyon High School. Golf highlights includes winning the 2014 SCPGA at Badlands, 2014 JWM at Angel Park champion and earning Temescal Canyon HS Athlete of the Season from 2012-2014.

Josephine Chang, Rancho Cucamonga, 16:
Junior at Diamond Bar High School. Golf highlights include finishing second at the LA City Junior Golf Championship, second at the 2012 Veritas World Championship and sixth at the 2014 AJGA Jos. A. Bank/David Leadbetter Junior Championship.

Carol Cheng, Northridge, 15:
Freshman at Granada Hills High School. Golf highlights include a victory at the El Prado Spring Classic, third place at the Bridgestone Spring Series Championship and third place at the SCPGA/LA County Players Tour Challenge.

Malia Ebersberger, Palm Desert, 17:
Junior at Xavier College Prep High School. Golf highlights include three-time Xavier MVP, and a victory at the 2014 NOPGA Barberton at Brookside GC and 2014 SCPGA at Dad Miller GC.

Mychaela Graf, Murrieta, 17:
Senior at Murrieta Mesa High School. Golf highlights includes qualifying for two U.S. Girls’ Junior Championships, 2013 Southwestern League Finals medalist and 2012 and 2013 VJGA Player of the Year. Mychaela has committed to play golf at Biola University.

Muni He, Rancho Santa Fe, 15:
Sophomore at Capistrano Connections Academy. Golf highlights include being a three time AJGA champion, playing in the 2014 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and participating in both the 2013 Canadian Women’s Amateur and Canadian Junior Girls’. Muni was a 2014 Champions Junior Challenge participant and has committed to play at USC.

Sabrina Iqbal, San Jose, 13:
Freshman at Pioneer High School. Golf highlights include 2014 CIF-CCS California High School Champion, 2014 JTNC Player of the Year, 2013 Darkhouse GC Champion and a 2013 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship Qualifier medalist.

Jiyoon Jang, Rancho Mirage, 16:
Junior at Palm Desert High School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the 2013 Golfweek Invitational, making the round of 32 at the 2014 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and 2013 Joanne Winter Arizona Silverbelle Champion. She participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge and has committed to play at UC Berkeley.

Isabel Ji, Rancho Santa Fe, 17:
Senior at Torrey Pines High School. Golf highlights include second place at the 2015 San Diego Junior Amateur, being the overall champion at the 2013 ANNIKA Invitational, a victory at the 2013 AJGA Vicky Hurst Championship and 13 victories in HSBC China Junior Championships from 2009-2012. She was named the 2010 China Golf Association Player of the Year and in 2013 was on the AJGA HP Scholastic Honor Roll. Isabel participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge and is committed to play at USC.

Ashley Kim, Redondo Beach, 15:
Junior at Mira Costa High School. Golf highlights include medalist at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifier at La Costa, four top five finishes in the Toyota Tour Cup, including a second place finish at the Golf Club at La Quinta, and a T5 finish at the Annapolis Junior.

Stephanie Lau, Fullerton, 17:
Senior at Valley Christian High School. Golf highlights include a 2014 AJGA Heather Farr Classic victory, 2013 victory at the AJGA Ruby Hill tournament, two Toyota Tour Cup victories and competing in the U.S. Girls’ Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. She also participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge.

Danielle Lee, La Mirada, 17:
Senior at La Mirada High School. Golf highlights include a 2014 Toyota Tour Cup victory, 2014 WSCGA Championship medalist, 2013 LA Women’s Championship victory, participating in the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship and qualifying for the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship three years in a row. Danielle has committed to play for the University of Arizona in 2015 and played in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge.

Jessica Mangrobang, Chula Vista, 16:
Junior at Mater Dei Catholic High School. Golf highlights include being a three-time Toyota Tour Cup champion, including nine top-3 finishes, and finished 22nd at the 2014 Junior World Championship. She’s also proud of her multiple top five finishes in SDJGA, FCG and SCPGA tournaments. Jessica participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge.

Haley Moore, Escondido, 16:
Sophomore at San Pasqual High School. Golf highlights include two 2014 victories on the Toyota Tour Cup, 2013 and 2014 Toyota Tour Cup Player of the Year, a 2014 victory at the AJGA Open and a second place finish at the 2014 AJGA BBCN Open. She also broke the course record at Admiral Baker GC in a CIF sectional by shooting a 64. Haley has already verbally committed to play for the University of Arizona in 2016. This is Haley’s third Champions Junior Challenge.

Mallory Muehlbauer, Vista, 18:
Senior at Mission Vista High School. Golf highlights include 2014 SDJGA at Twin Oaks GC and 2014 NCGJA Optimist International victories, and 2014 NCGJA Player of the Year. Mallory will play for BYU in the fall.

Marni Murez, Manhattan Beach, 17:
Junior at Mira Costa High School. Golf highlights include a victory at the 2014 Bridgestone SCPGA Summer Series Tournament of Champions, 2014 CIF Northern Regional Individual medalist, qualified for the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship and a 2013 Veritas World Junior/Junior Olympics of Golf victory.

Katherine Muzi, Walnut, 14:
Freshman at Walnut High School. Golf highlights include shooting a 69, paired with Patricia Wong, at Mission Hills to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship, first place finish at the 2014 Toyota Tour Cup at Empire Lakes, two second place finishes on the Toyota Tour Cup in 2014 and qualifying for the 2014 San Diego Junior World. Katherine also participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge.

Shannon Oh, Oceanside, 17:
Senior at Carlsbad High School. Golf highlights include five-time SDJGA Player of the Year, three-time individual Avocado West League champion, two-time Avocado West League Player of the Year and three-time First Team All-CIF San Diego County.

Ashleigh Park, Mission Viejo, 13:
Seventh Grader at Newhart Middle School. Golf highlights include a first place finish in the 2015 Toyota Tour Cup at Industry Hills, has two first place finishes on the Toyota Tour Cup in 2014, won the 15-18 girls division at the 2014 LA County Junior Championship, played in the 2014 U.S. Women’s Public Links Championship, being named SCPGA Player of the Year three times and being featured in Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd in July 2012. She also participated in the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge.

Brittany Park, Fullerton, 16:
Sophomore at Valencia High School. Golf highlights include medalist at the 2014 AJGA Stockton Convention & Visitors Bureau Junior All-Star, four second place finishes on the 2014 Toyota Tour Cup and a second place finish at the 2014 AJGA Preseason Junior at Diablo Grande.

Karah Sanford, Escondido, 13:
Eighth Grader at Classical Academy. Golf highlights include being a six-time San Diego Junior Amateur champion, two-time Callaway Junior World champion, three-time TaylorMade World Masters of Junior Golf champion and two-time U.S. Kids World champion. Karah represented the Southern California region in the 2014 National Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta and was a 2014 Champions Junior Challenge participant.

Brooke Seay, San Diego, 14:
Eighth Grader at La Jolla Country Day School. Golf highlights include 2015 FCG National Tour College Prep Division champion, 2015 SDJGA Scott Simpson Junior champion, qualifier medalist for the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship, second place finish at the 2015 Toyota Tour Cup at Industry Hills GC, 2013 U.S. Kids World champion and participated in the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship.

Angel Yin, Arcadia, 16:
Sophomore at Arcadia High School. Angel was the 2013 Champions Junior Challenge winner. Golf highlights include winning the 2015 ANNIKA Invitational, medalist at the 2014 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, 2012 California Women’s Amateur Championship winner and earned an exemption into the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, making the cut and finishing 73rd.

Angella Then, Rancho Cucamonga, 16:
Junior at Los Osos High School. Golf highlights include 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur Sectional Qualifying medalist, second place finish at the 2014 AJGA Under Armour Scott Stallings Championship, two 2014 Toyota Tour Cup victories and making it to the round of 32 at the 2013 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. Angella is playing in her third Champions Junior Challenge.

Tyra Tonkham, Arleta, 16:
Sophomore at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. Golf highlights include finishing third at the 2014 LA City Women’s Championship, two top-10 AJGA finishes in 2014 and a T32 finish at the 2014 Junior World Championship.

Haley Tygret, Gardena, 18:
Senior at North High School. Golf highlights include 2014 JAGS Rookie of the Year and JAGS All-Star Team, 2014 JAGS Double Major victory, third place finish at the 2014 JAGS Junior, second place finish at the 2014 SCPGA TTC at Rio Secco and a 2013 FCG Santa Barbara Championship victory. She is committed to play at Southern Methodist University.

Kailie Vongsaga, Walnut, 14:
Eighth Grade at South Pointe Middle School. Golf highlights include a victory at 2014 AJGA Jas, 2014 LA City champion, participated in the 2014 U.S. Women’s Public Links Championship and was invited to play in the AJGA Yani Tseng Invitational and AJGA Nike Junior All-Star Invitational. This is her second Champions Junior Challenge.

Lilia Vu, Fountain Valley, 17:
Senior at Fountain Valley High School. Golf highlights include being the 2014 Champions Junior Challenge winner, making the cut and finishing T32 at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, and winning the 2014 WSCGA CIF. She has committed to play at UCLA.

Elizabeth Wang, San Marino, 14:
Freshman at San Marino High School. Golf highlights include 2014 Rolex Junior Championship medalist, sixth place finish at the 2014 Rolex Tournament of Champions, sixth place finish at the 2014 Yani Tseng Invitational, third place finish at the 2013 Mission Hills Desert Junior and making the cut at both the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Girls’ Junior Championships. Elizabeth is playing in her third Champions Junior Challenge.

Julie Ward, Sylmar, 17:
Senior at Sylmar High School. Golf highlights include 2014 CIF City Championship medalist, top-3 finishes in Bridgestone Championships, top-3 finishes in LA County Championships and top-10 finishes in Toyota Tour Cup events. Julie has committed to play at CSUN.

Patricia Wong, Walnut, 18:
Senior at Walnut High School. Golf highlights include a victory at the 2014 Inland Valley Women’s Amateur, third place finish at the 2014 Arizona Silverbelle Championship, two AJGA wins in 2012 and was the 2012 LA County champion. She has committed to play at Pepperdine University. Patricia was a 2014 Champions Junior Challenge participant.
